Terms of Use

1. Agreement and Operator

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and DAF Consulting Group LLC, which publishes Cozi - Video Chat & Date on Google Play under the developer name DAF Consult (“Cozi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

The Terms govern the Cozi Android app and its profile, discovery, dating, messaging, media-sharing, one-to-one audio and video, purchase, advertising, moderation, safety, and support features (the “Service”). Our Privacy Policy and Child Safety Policy are incorporated into these Terms.

2. 18+ Eligibility

You may use Cozi only if you are at least 18 years old, legally able to enter this agreement, and not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law. You must not misstate your age, help a minor bypass age controls, allow a minor to use your account, or include a minor in a Cozi call or dating interaction.

We may use age-gating, eligibility signals, or reasonable verification measures. We may restrict access while verification is pending and close an account that is ineligible or reasonably suspected of minor access.

3. Accounts and Profiles

Provide accurate, current, and complete registration and profile information. Keep credentials confidential, maintain control of the login method linked to your account, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You may not sell, rent, lend, transfer, or share an account.

Profile names, photos, biographies, interests, preferences, and other representations must be authentic enough not to deceive users. You may not impersonate another person, create automated or bulk accounts, misrepresent relationship intentions for fraud, or use another person’s image without permission.

4. Dating and One-to-One Video

Cozi lets adults browse or discover profiles and communicate through text, voice messages, selected media, and one-to-one audio or video calls. You decide whether to start, accept, continue, or end an interaction.

Cozi does not promise a match, response, compatibility, relationship, identity verification, background check, or safe offline meeting. Protect personal and financial information. If you choose to meet someone offline, use reasonable precautions, meet in a public place, tell a trusted person, arrange your own transportation, and contact emergency services if anyone faces immediate danger.

5. Camera, Microphone, Consent, and Recording

Camera and microphone access is used after you grant Android permission and activate a feature that requires it. You can revoke permission through Android settings, but the corresponding call, voice-message, or capture feature may stop working.

You must obtain all consent required by law before recording, capturing, publishing, or redistributing another person’s image, voice, message, or call. Covert recording, voyeurism, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual coercion, extortion, and threats to expose private content are prohibited. A recipient may preserve communications using tools outside Cozi, so do not share information you would not want retained.

6. User Content and License

“User Content” includes profiles, text, photos, video, audio, calls, messages, reports, feedback, and other material you submit or transmit. You retain ownership of your original User Content and represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to provide it.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, cache, reproduce, format, transmit, display, and technically modify User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve, and promote the Service; comply with your settings; enforce these Terms; and meet legal obligations.

The license ends when content is removed from active systems, except where copies remain with another user, in backups, in a safety or legal record, or where continued retention is otherwise permitted by law.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Cozi to:

• violate law, court orders, sanctions, or another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or contractual rights;
• harass, stalk, threaten, shame, coerce, blackmail, exploit, discriminate against, or physically endanger another person;
• create, request, possess, transmit, or facilitate child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or other child endangerment;
• post or transmit pornography, sexually explicit content, non-consensual intimate content, sexual violence, or offers for prostitution, escort services, compensated dating, or sexual acts;
• operate romance, investment, gift, payment, identity, or account-recovery scams;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent age, identity, affiliation, location, intentions, or relationship status for a deceptive purpose;
• send spam, malware, unauthorized advertising, automated messages, scraping requests, or disruptive traffic;
• collect, disclose, or sell another user’s information without authorization;
• reverse engineer, probe security, evade enforcement, manipulate advertising or purchases, or interfere with the Service; or
• buy, sell, trade, or transfer accounts, virtual items, credits, or access outside an authorized Cozi feature.

8. Reports, Blocks, and Moderation

Report or block a user through controls available from the relevant profile, conversation, or call screen. Reports must be truthful and made in good faith. Do not download or email suspected child sexual abuse material; use the in-app report path and follow the Child Safety Policy.

We may use automated systems and trained reviewers to assess reports and suspected violations. We may warn users, end interactions, remove content, limit features, reduce visibility, suspend or terminate accounts, prevent re-registration, preserve evidence, and notify authorities or safety organizations where appropriate or required. Moderation does not guarantee that every violation will be detected or prevented.

9. Child Safety

Cozi has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (“CSAE”) and child sexual abuse material (“CSAM”). Minors may not use the Service. Our Child Safety Policy explains prohibited conduct, reporting, enforcement, cooperation with authorities, and the designated safety contact.

10. Digital Purchases

Cozi may offer credits, digital items, virtual benefits, or paid feature access through Google Play Billing. The purchase screen displays the item, price, and material terms before payment. Unless the purchase screen expressly identifies a recurring subscription, the purchase does not automatically renew.

Digital items are licensed, not sold; have no cash value; are not legal tender or stored value; and may not be transferred outside authorized features. We may correct a balance affected by error, fraud, chargeback, or refund.

Google Play processes payment credentials and applies its billing and refund rules. Except where law requires otherwise, consumed digital items are non-refundable. Deleting Cozi or a Cozi account does not itself create a refund or automatically cancel a recurring purchase that Google Play separately manages.

11. Advertising and Third Parties

Cozi may display contextual or personalized advertisements where permitted. The Privacy Policy explains related data and choices. An advertisement is not our endorsement of the advertiser or offer.

The Service may rely on or link to independent services, including Google Play. Their separate terms and privacy notices govern their products. We are not responsible for independent third-party content or conduct except where applicable law provides otherwise.

12. Our Intellectual Property

Cozi software, interfaces, design, logos, trademarks, documentation, and content supplied by us or our licensors are protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Android app for its intended purpose.

13. Changes and Availability

We may add, modify, suspend, or retire features to address security, safety, technical constraints, law, demand, or business needs. Availability may vary by country, device, account, or version. We will provide notice where required.

14. Suspension, Termination, and Deletion

You may stop using Cozi at any time and may request permanent deletion through the app or the Account Deletion page. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, address safety or fraud, comply with law, protect users, or discontinue the Service.

After termination, your license ends. Provisions that logically survive—including ownership, payment obligations, retained-content permissions, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute provisions—remain effective.

15. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, A PARTICULAR MATCH OR RELATIONSHIP, THE IDENTITY OR CONDUCT OF A USER, OR THE ACCURACY OR SAFETY OF USER CONTENT.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DAF CONSULTING GROUP LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY; OR THE CONDUCT OF ANOTHER USER OR THIRD PARTY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO COZI WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID THROUGH THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR USD 100. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DAF Consulting Group LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable legal expenses arising from your unlawful use of Cozi, your User Content, or your material breach of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our unlawful conduct.

18. Disputes and Applicable Law

Before filing a claim, you and we will make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve it informally through the contact below. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to DAF Consulting Group LLC and the transaction, without applying conflict-of-law principles to the extent permitted. A claim may be heard by a court with competent jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer protections or access to local courts that applicable law does not permit you to waive.

19. General Terms and Updates

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in Cozi, safety practices, law, or operations. Material changes will receive notice where required. These Terms and incorporated policies are the complete agreement about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remainder will continue.
